I spent my first night at the Psarthi shelters as a beginner climber. Very good for a first experience, I highly recommend it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ο δρόμος για το καταφύγιο είναι πολύ καλά στρωμένος και εύκολος στη διάβαση για ποδήλατα και οχήματα off-road. Η θέα σε ανταμείβει κάθε φορά. Δυστυχώς όμως είναι δύσκολο να κλείσει καποιος διανυκτέρευση.
The road to the shelter is very well paved and easy to cross for bicycles and off-road vehicles. The view rewards you every time. Unfortunately, it is difficult to book an overnight stay.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice view towards the city of Patras. The road to get there is easy with about 700m elevation gain from Pournarokastro. The route is accessible with hiking, by bike, and even with 4×4 cars. However the Refuge was closed with building itself being in a really bad state without any maintenance works for years. I would suggest to get there if you like hiking or mountain biking, but don't expect to find anyone there or a place to rest.
