Klinakis Beach Hotel - Nea Chora

Not on the beach. On a rocky cliff. No beach. You can walk to the beach and pay for an umbrella at another hotel (that's actually on the beach). Terrible location. Long long long walk through ugly neighborhood to get to Chania center. Nothing nearby. No restaurant, bar, beach, shops... Nothing. Room tiny. Worst part of my trip to Crete. Total disappointment. Staff weren't even polite, let alone friendly. Oh, and splurge for the sea view? The balconies are built such that everyone can see each other, no privacy. Same view anywhere else in Chania. Might be ok value at half the price. Who was bribed to get this hotel a star? Loads of nice rooms available on the beach or in the center for cheaper.

This is likely the best hotel in Chania. Location is perfect, in front of the hotel there is a nice wild beach good for swimming and snorkeling, while on the sides there are sandy beaches. Staff is absolutely wonderful, helpful in every way. Room service is amazing and very attentive to our needs. Room was clean, bathroom is renovated and very well equipped. I highly recommend this place as it suits everyone's needs. The only thing that could be improved was internet connection.

Right next to the ocean with breathtaking view. Very good value for what you pay. Nice patio for breakfast. Good breakfast selection. 15-20 min walk downtown which is a nice walk in my eyes.

My second time staying at Klinakis hotel this is a family run hotel and the staff working there treat you so well. Rafaela the manager has done everything to make sure the hotel is safe during the pandemic. She and her family work very hard to ensure everyone is happy during their stay. I was highly impressed and happy with my stay here. The location can’t be beaten it is slightly away from all the touristy areas. Without a doubt I would stay again and again. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Really nice hotel for a good price! The staff was extremely friendly and they always wanted to fulfill our wishes. They gave us huge breakfast to go on our last day because our flight was early. The view to the sea is very beautiful and the rooms are comfortable. It is 20 minutes to go to the city centre. We will come again! :)

Neat and clean rooms, sea view and sunset view from the room is beautiful. Friendly and helpful staff, amazing breakfast, very good location, just near to nea chora beach, nice restaurants near by, 15 minutes walk from bus station and 20 minutes walk from old town. Overall perfect. We had a pleasant stay. :-)

This was our best stay in Greece so far <3 The hotel is just amazing. We had unbelievable sea view! I was just stunned when I saw it. Just as pictured. And the sunsets from our balcony were just amazing, because the hotel stands on the little hill right in front of it. By the way, the balconies are situated in a way so you can not see your neighbours, which is good. In general the hotel is very clean, beds and sheets are comfortable. Staff is so friendly. Thank you Rafaela and the rest of the family. Breakfast is very good - delicious local food, good choice. We highly recommend this location as well. The hotel stays literally on the beach - nea chora. Beach is really nice. Somewhere it has the sandy entrance to the sea, somewhere there are some small rocks. Amazing view of the sea, rocks and sunsets. 50 steps away on your right you may find comfy sunbeds with umbrella - only 6 eur/day. There are grocery stores and coffee shops nearby (please check the candy shop at Antoniu 2-4 street - omg!!!) It’s only 15 min walk to the very old town of Chania - which is perfect as the centre is overcrowded. But you don’t even have to go as there are couple dozens of good tavernas just nearby the hotel - 1-5 minutes walk. To sum up, it’s highly recommended. You will definitely enjoy your stay here.
