★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kreta to trzecia grecka wyspa po Zakinthos i Kefalinii , którą zwiedziłam. Jest największą grecką wyspą i bardzo ciekawą do zwiedzania .Podczas pobytu 12-'dniowego zobaczyliśmy dużo interesujących miejsc mając na liczniku wynajętego auta w sumie 1200 km ale myślę, że miesiąc to byłoby za mało aby objechać ją całą. Liczne plaże jak Gramvosa, Balos, Preveli czy słynna Elafonisi oraz wąwóz Samaria do którego nie dotarliśmy to tylko część kierunków wycieczkowych. Jest to wyspa dużo czystsza od Zakinthos ale mniej zielona niż Kefalinia, ma wspaniałą szosę ciągnącą się wzdłuż wybrzeża, która jest ciągle w rozbudowie. Podwójne znaki informujące o dopuszczalnej prędkości np 70 a pod spodem 50 lub 40 na wypadek deszczu ,który rzadko tu pada ale na dość krętych odcinkach drogi nie pozwala na zbyt szybką jazdę są zaskakujace bo u nas w Polsce raczej się nie zdarzają. Trochę mniej tu palm, ale i tak dość zielono .Uprzejmi Grecy w restauracjach i sklepach a także w samochodach, które zwyczajowo zjeżdżają na wspaniałe pobocza bo Grekom nigdy się nie śpieszy. Naprawdę warto tu przyjechać.
 Crete is the third Greek island that I have visited after Zakynthos and Kefalonia. It is the largest Greek island and very interesting to explore. During our 12-day stay we saw a lot of interesting places with a total of 1200 km on the meter of the rented car, but I think that a month would not be enough to tour it all. Numerous beaches such as Gramvosa, Balos, Preveli or the famous Elafonisi and the Samaria gorge which we have not reached are only some of the destinations. It is an island much cleaner than Zakynthos but less green than Kefalonia, it has a wonderful road along the coast that is still under development. Double signs informing about the maximum speed, e.g. 70 and underneath 50 or 40 in case of rain, which rarely rains here, but on quite winding sections of the road, does not allow for too fast driving, are surprising because in Poland they do not happen. There are fewer palm trees here, but still quite green. Nice Greeks in restaurants and shops, as well as in cars that usually go down to wonderful roadsides because Greeks are never in a hurry. It is really worth coming here.
