★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A beautiful bookstore where you will find hidden among the commercial tourist items (that most likely have found their way into this shop by economic pressures faced by the owner) really well-researched, academic books on Greece in general and Crete in particular in English as well other major European languages. Among the English books you will find books on history, mythology, anthropology, geography, natural history, as well as poetry and fiction works by modern Greek writers published by Greek publishers.
