A	Aliki D. on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Η λίμνη του Αλμυρού στο Ηράκλειο αν και μικρή σε έκταση , τροφοδοτείται κυρίως απο τις πηγές του Ψηλορείτη , και προσφέρει την μεγαλύτερη ποσότητα νερού στην Κρήτη , μέσω του ποταμού που ξεχύνεται απο εκείνη και εκβάλλει στην θάλασσα . Ενώ το νερό της είναι υφάλμυρο επειδή κάπου βαθιά στη γη ανακατεύεται με θαλασσινό , το ενδιαφέρον στοιχείο είναι ότι στις αρχές της άνοιξης , το νερό απο αλμυρό γίνεται σχεδόν πόσιμο . 0 υγρότοπος με την γαλάζια λίμνη , το πανέμορφο ποτάμι , οι φοίνικες που καταλήγουν στον κόλπο του Ηρακλείου , και τα πλήθη των πουλιών ανάλογα με την εποχή , είναι εκεί για να μαγεύουν τους τυχερούς περαστικούς . The lake of Almyros in Heraklion, although small in area, is fed mainly by the springs of Psiloritis, and offers the largest amount of water in Crete, through the river that flows from it and flows into the sea. While its water is brackish because it mixes with seawater somewhere deep in the earth, the interesting thing is that in early spring, the salty water becomes almost drinkable. The wetland with the blue lake, the beautiful river, the palm trees that end in the bay of Heraklion, and the crowds of birds depending on the season, are there to enchant the lucky passers-by.
