Started off at Melia Kanela cafe, free parking. Great walk, not difficult 8km. Wouldn't recommend for young children. Plenty of shade to keep cool. Got taxi back to start. Finished with a fabulous iced Frappe with ice cream at Cafe - definitely recommend.

Worth while to do! You have to count about 3 hours walking down. Make sure you have good shoes. If you are at the exit of the gorge, there are 2 tavernas. They offer to bring you back to the entrance if your car is there. Take care because they are quite pushing very hard to bring you back or have a cool drink.

Wonderful gorge. It took us 1.5 hours to get down and 2 hours to get back by the same path. You can park fo free near taverna up and down the gorge. The cost is 2.5€ per person and the ticket is valid for the back track as well. So you can go to the tavern and come back later with the ticket. Be aware that there is no water on the track. The gorge is very easy to pass up and down in hiking shoes, especially after Samaria gorge. There a lot of small stones.

A pretty nice Gorge, rough trail but good to walk. Hiking sticks would be helpful. Entrance fee now is 2,50 €.

We arrived at the port on a cruise, I hired a driver to meet us and take us to the gorge so we could hike it. It took us about 2 hrs from the port to drive to the entrance in Imbros. The trail was easily marked however it was very rocky and technical. It took us less than 2 hrs to hike to the end but we didn't rest much. It was very beautiful and it measured 4.6 miles on my Strava app one way. If you hike a lot in the mountains then this is an easy hike. The drive met us at the end, we then went to a tavern for lunch and made it back to the boat with 15 minutes to spare.... a little tight, but a very worthwhile experience. The cost was 2.50 euro per person to hike the trail.

2 hrs walk with kids (10 and 11 yrs). At the end taxi pick up taking back to parking in 15 minutes. Shoes could be normal sports or even sneakers ( I had sneakers and it was ok). Nice views, not so much people in April.

Very beautiful gorge, hiking is nice yet moderate difficulty. Would suggest sturdy shoes. Although some shade in between, it can get quite hot. Would do it again, hiked down and took bus back to parking space.

Be aware that you need good footwear. Proper walking shoes or boots would be better than trainers. You can do it in trainers but mine had thin soles and I felt every stone and slipped quite a bit! You need reasonable fitness to be able to do the 2 to 3 hour walk. Some older people had sticks. Take water. There is a cafe and toilets at the end. I did it as part of a trip with TUI and it was quite expensive. A lot cheaper to do it yourself if you are able.
