Έχει πάρει την ονομασία του από ένα μύθο για ένα λιοντάρι που κατοικούσε εκεί και στο τέλος μαρμάρωσε έξω από την εκκλησία του Αγίου Νικολάου. Στο εσωτερικό του βρίσκεται ένας πολύ σπάνιας μορφής σταλακτίτης που μοιάζει με μανιτάρι. Unfortunately it is completely destroyed. It is named after a legend about a lion that lived there and eventually marbled outside the church of St. Nicholas. Inside is a very rare form of mushroom-like stalactite.
i	inkve1979 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Όμορφος προορισμός... Το σπήλαιο βρίσκεται σε πολύ όμορφο σημείο με θέα... Ο δρόμος ναι μεν είναι χωμάτινος και σε σημεία έχει πέτρες,αλλά είναι βάτος... Ότι πρέπει για όποιον/α δεν θέλει να κουραστεί,καθώς το σπήλαιο από τον δρόμο, είναι εύκολα και γρήγορα προσβάσιμο Beautiful destination ... The cave is located in a very beautiful spot overlooking ... The road is dirt and has stones in some places, but it is passable ... Everything you need for anyone who does not want to get tired, as the cave from the road, is easily and quickly accessible
D	Dionysios Xenoulis on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ωραιο σπήλαιο με τελεια θέα προς τα Μεσόγεια. Ηταν κλειστο με καγκελα καποτε, αλλα καποιος εχει σπασει την καγκελοπορτα και μπορει οποιος θελει να μπει μεσα. Ομορφοι σταλακτικτες ειδικα στο βαθος της αριστερής πλευράς. Θελει προσοχη γιατι σε σημεια γλιστράει (ειδικα χειμώνα και άνοιξη), ενώ εχει και καποια βαραθρα, κλειστα με μεταλλικές σίτες αλλά όπως και να εχει θελει προσοχη μιας και δεν ειναι καλά στερεωμένες). Η τοπική παράδοση ονόμασε έτσι το σπήλαιο εξαιτίας του λιονταριού που υποτίθεται ότι είχε εκεί τη φωλιά του και που αργότερα μαρμαρωμένο βρισκόταν στην Κάτζα. Σώζεται ακόμη έπειτα από 2500 χρόνια, τοποθετημένο σαν επιτάφιος λέων πάνω στον τάφο των Κούρων Αθηναίων. Το σπήλαιο διαστάσεων 50 επί 20 μέτρα έχει χρησιμοποιηθεί ως ιερό στα ιστορικά χρόνια ενώ υπάρχουν και ευρήματα από την 4η και 5η χιλιετηρίδα π. Χ., γι αυτο και ειναι προστατευόμενο λόγω παλαιοντολογικού ενδιαφέροντος. Δυστυχώς ανεγκέφαλοι εχουν ζωγραφίσει σε σημεία της εισόδου σήματα ποδοσφαιρικών ομάδων. ενώ άλλοι φροντιζουν να πετουν τα σκουπίδια τους μετά την επίσκεψη τους εντός της σπηλιάς. Οποτε, δεν αφηνουμε σκουπίδια, και αν μπορούμε κατεβάζουμε στη πόλη και τα σκουπίδια των άλλων. Nice cave with a perfect view to the Mediterranean. It was once closed with railings, but someone has broken down the gate and whoever wants to can enter. Beautiful stalactites especially in the depth of the left side. It needs attention because in some places it slips (especially in winter and spring), while it also has some precipices, closed with metal screens, but anyway it needs attention since they are not well fixed). The local tradition named the cave because of the lion that was supposed to have its nest there and which was later marbled in Katza. It is still preserved after 2500 years, placed as a lion's epitaph on the tomb of the Kouros of Athens. The cave measuring 50 by 20 meters has been used as a sanctuary in historical times and there are findings from the 4th and 5th millennium BC, which is why it is protected due to paleontological interest. Unfortunately, brainless people have painted football teams' signals at points of entry. while others make sure to throw their trash after visiting the cave. So, we don't leave rubbish, and if we can, we take the other people's rubbish to the city.

Π	Παύλος Βλαζάκης on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lions cave is an amazing cave system that goes deep inside the moutain in the side of peak korakovouni. If you want to go for a walk in the moutain i totaly recomend it as a destination. The road underneath is not really acessible since you either need a truck or park at the runners point and walk about 2km. The cave the last 10 years has a gate and its forbiden to enter for safety reasons.
