Konieczne źródło światła i warto mieć jakieś rękawice.
The Bat Cave (Σπηλιά της Νυχτερίδας) is located in the Korakovouni Massif, on the slopes of the lower northern peak. The easiest way to get here is from Ajia Paraskiewi (Αγία Παρασκευή) and the Agios Ioannis Kynigos monastery (Ιερά Μονή Αγίου Ιωάννου του Κυνηγού). The cave is located right on route 10, on a small plateau, at an altitude of 575 m above sea level. The entrance hidden in a pile of rocks, hardly visible from the approach, you have to walk over the rocks and squeeze under the hanging rocks, and then you can see the dark entrance below from the rock balcony. Necessary source of light and it is worth having some gloves. The cave is narrow and about 130 meters long, after several dozen meters of the first chamber, you have to squeeze through a small crevice, and after another dozen or so meters another narrow place to overcome. This is where the dry part of the cave ends and the humid chamber begins with a lot of dripstone formations on the walls, ceiling and floor. Then the konmat lowers and divides into two corridors, which supposedly extend further into the massif, but are so low and tight that you would have to crawl.

Nice cave, you can find it effortlessly, but if you want to see the whole thing, you definitely need a lens, and of course your attention ... The environment of a cave, let alone a dark one, wants you to know where you are stepping on at all times, although this is quite passable, but there are still places that need attention

Easy access and a little walking to reach it You need good lighting and the entrance needs an effort, but it is worth it!

The cave is one of the best discoveries I had in a long time inside of Athens. It is a tunnel of a nearly 150m that goes on, and as you move, the surroundings become more and more interesting.

We were walking for 1,5h from when we park our car (the place where you are able to leave it is also hard to reach). We were on the edge of giving up, but we manage only to learn that there is no enter to the cave as rocks have fallen and block it. Coming back we felt exhausted and truly near death. I do not recommend it as it takes half a day and the cave is currently closed. Also finding it is rather hard we thought we will never find it, probably to the lack of signs.
