★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a unique museum, the epitome of reusing and recycling, and so interesting, it was a real labour of love. The gardens are delightful, and the staff so friendly. I would definitely recommend visiting.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a fantastic place to learn about the Cretan way of life and the history of the island. The lady who works here is very knowledgeable and helpful as well as incredibly helpful!
The artefacts on view are amazing and well laid out.
The café serves a good variety of drinks at good, fair prices.
There is a beach that is accessible from the back of the museum and the prices of parasol and sunlounger hire are very reasonable!
Definitely well worth a visit!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great little museum that shows you the traditional rural way of life to be found on Crete before the tourism boom.
It showcased various different practices such as olive oil making, beekeeping, textile making and much more.
I'd highly recommend going for the audio guide, we decided not to due to finding it pointless in museums before but regretted not using it.
Well worth a visit if you're interested in the history behind Crete.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ beautiful museum with such a romantic and warm feel. The lady who works here is so friendly and kind, and there is so much to see: Tree garden, historical farmhouse, school, middle class home, shepherd’s hut, fisherman’s hut, chapel, herb garden, sculptures, incredible lockdown-inspired art made from pills! We spent 3-4 hours here taking our time to appreciate everything and listen to all of the audio guided tour, however I’m sure it is possible to do it faster. There is a car park and a side exit to go straight to the beach afterwards! There is also a café with very reasonable prices.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a very good time here it was a good sunny day to walk around this museum. I would say it's worth the 7 euro go find it not far from bus stop 25 in Hersonissos and 2 or 3 euro bus fair. Go here then take a short walk into Hersonissos
