We stayed there in July on positive side are lovely bungalows with comfy bed which are cleaned daily. They are situated on hill so be ready for climbing stairs / hills. Good food but very repetitive, not what you would expect at 4* On negative side is dirty swimming pool (green walls iside pool, which is not nice to look/touch when you are swimming). If you want you can clean it yourself. Would rather recommend to someone who just needs home while travelling around island but not for family with younger children. No playground, entertainment or small swimming pool.

Nice Hotel. Just we went All Inclusive and it was NOT! Certain items like Chips you had to PAY lol! Food terrible and drinks too. Extremely limited choice. If you want Spirits time was 7.30pm to 10.30pm! 3 hours??? Tasted like petrol too. Pool was midget too. No entertainment either. Great if you like poor food and drink and at least Sunshine great! NEVER stay at this Hotel All Inclusive. Just self catering is fine as you will always eat out! August 2019

The view from the hotel is really good, you can see the beach which is beautiful. Very nice surroundings. The rooms are good, clean and practical. The accomodation of the hotel is a good point. The swimming pool is good but not really deep (1m40 max) and closes rather early to my mind (6pm). In my opinion, the hotel has many negative points. First, the hotel is located upright and you have to climb a lot when you want to go to your room. Moreover, it’s 25km far from Heraklion and if you want to use a taxi its 60€ round-trip, which is not negligible, and there is a bus stop but which is 4km far from the hotel. You better rent a car in this case. About the restaurant, it was really really bad : the food is always the same (pasta, chicken, canteen fish, …), there is no dessert except fruit salad and jelly…! Even the ketchup has no flavor. The breakfast is not good as well (very basic and not tasty). The restaurant is catastrophic. The half-board is another negative point : the drinks are not included in the dinner…, the drinks in the pool bar neither. At the « restaurant », they propose drinks (bottles of water, bottles of Coca for example) which are more expensive about 1€ than in the restaurants and stores near the beach. Morever, you can have a safe box in your room but, one more time, you have to pay (20€/week). There is a man who seems to be a manager in the hotel, who never talks to the customers and who watches the tables at the restaurant while you’re eating. This is unpleasant. To conclude, the Lygaria beach hotel is really not recommanded and is absolutely not a four-stars hotel ! From a customer who stayed during the first week of August 2021, and will never come back.

First of all, it's not a place for family with little kids, there is nothing for them. Room cleaning was ok nothing more and even the food was very very low quality not for a 4 stars hotel at all. Staff was very FRIENDLY and LOVELY , the building its very nice,pool it's too small compared with the numbers of the rooms. Nice view, maybe was the best thing I think. The owner should do something more to make his business become a REAL 4 stars. Ps if you forget something like toothbrush there is a market on the beach where you can go, cause they don't give you.

We had a lot of fun staying here! The people that worked at the bar (especially Micheal! We miss you!) where amazing! They made our stay one to remember. The food was good and the rooms had double airconditioning that you can set to your own temperature for a great night of sleep. It’s good quality for the price you pay! (Cuz a cheap prize just doesn’t give you a 5 star hotel experience but it was amazing for the price!) The view from the poolbar is amazing! The pool is a bit small but the view makes double up for that! There are free sunbeds you can use at the pool and at the sun deck that are really comfy. There are some rules to the all inclusive alcohol rules but that’s not more then normal! You can also get amazing cocktails (if you pay but they are more then worth it) walking the mountain was a bit rough sometimes in 35 degrees but we never complained! You will come back with a sunkissed skin and nice leg abs! The walk will help you burn al the totally worth it calories from the food ;) We would definitely return!!!!

Today my wife and I enjoyed the best Freddo Cappacino on tour so far in Crete. A beautiful location for a pause, or even better... a long stress free vacation ☺️??

This hotel is absolutely disaster!!!! We stayed there from 11.6.2022 for a week as a vacation. We had all inclusive, but in this hotel ,,restaurant” is impossible to eat. Food is cold, ugly, everyday the same. The staff is really bad behavioured and manager of restaurant is cheeky, aroggant and very unfriendly. I recommend to close the hotel. We had the worst vacation ever in Lygaria Beach hotel!!!

We have arranged our 12 day stay in Greece for the first time in this hotel. We were really happy to see beautiful views and the place hotel was situated in. Unfortunately, the food and apartment we have booked was an absolute disaster. 2 room flat haven't seen renovation for ages, we were told we cannot pick another one as there are older people coming and the rest was occupied already. Food was cold, tasteless and the same for all 12 days. Last day the cook amazed us with uncooked-raw!!!!! potatoes (how can you f@&k this up). Drinks very limited, no real deserts besides some kind of pudding, melon and watermelon. Only thing worth mentioning are the cleaners and Monika on the bar which made this stay bearable. Huge disappointment and official complaint on the way.
