Μοιράζεται ανάμεσα στους νομους Φλώρινας και Καστοριάς καθώς και στην Αλβανία. η φηλότερη κορυφή του είναι η Ανεμοδαρμένη 1795μ και βρίσκεται στο βόρειο άκρο του βουνού ανάμεσα στο Βατοχώρι και την Κρυσταλλοπηγή. Στο νομό Καστοριάς η ψηλότερη κορυφή είναι η Κωστώλα 1713μ και βρίσκεται στο ανατολικό άκρο του ανάμεσα στα χωριά Γάβρος και Δενδροχώρι και έχει εντυπωσιακό αμφιθεατρικό σχήμα. Άλλες ψηλές κορυφές είναι: Πολένι 1621μ, Μπουκούρης 1533μ. Μοναχικό 1555μ, ύψωμα Παπαθανασίου 1659μ και δύο ανώνυμες 1681μ και 1749μ (αυτή ειναι δίπλα στην ψηλότερη κορυφή). Στο βόρειο τμήμα του συνορεύει με το Τρικλάριο ορος (κοιλάδα Κρυσταλοπηγής - Βατοχωρίου) , ανατολικά χωρίζεται από το όρος Βέρνο με τον ποταμό Λαδοπόταμο , Νότια "σβήνει" στα πεδινά τμήματα του νομού Καστοριάς ενώ το δυτικό τμήμα εισέρχεται στην Αλβανία και συναντά το αντίστοιχο κλάδο του Τρικλάριου όρους. Στα ανατολικά και βόρεια οι πλαγιές του έχουν δάση βελανιδίας κυριώς αλλά συναντούνται και οξυές και γάβροι. Το δυτικό και νότιο τμήμα του έχει χαμηλή βλάστηση και είναι πολύ πετρώδες οπως και η υποαλπική του ζώνη . Έδω έλαβαν μέρος μάχες κατά τον Εμφύλιο Πόλεμο για αυτό και συναντά κανείς παλαιά πυρομαχικά και υπολείματα οχυρωματικών. Επίσης έχει και δύο μικρές λίμνες που σχηματίζουν τον αριθμό οχτώ. Η θέα απο τις κορυφές του είναι εντυπωσιακή. Mount Boutsi or Mali Madi. It is divided between the prefectures of Florina and Kastoria as well as in Albania. its richest peak is Anemodarmeni 1795m and is located at the northern end of the mountain between Vatochori and Krystallopigi. In the prefecture of Kastoria the highest peak is Kostola 1713m and is located at its eastern end between the villages of Gavros and Dendrochori and has an impressive amphitheater shape. Other high peaks are: Poleni 1621m, Boukouris 1533m. Solo 1555m, Papathanasiou hill 1659m and two anonymous 1681m and 1749m (this is next to the highest peak). In the northern part it borders with Triklario mountain (valley of Krystalopigi - Vatochori), in the east it is separated from Mount Verno by the river Ladopotamos, in the south it "disappears" in the plains of Kastoria while the western part enters Albania and meets the corresponding Triple terms. To the east and north its slopes have mainly oak forests but there are also beeches and gabbro. Its western and southern part has low vegetation and is very stony like its subalpine zone. Here took part battles during the Civil War for this and one finds old ammunition and remnants of fortifications. It also has two small lakes that form the number eight. The view from its peaks is spectacular.
