Friendly family hotel, quite and next to the beach. Clean and pleasant environment, rooms spacious, clean- a bit old fashioned but not something that would be a reason to complain. Nice restaurant with a nice choice of a la cart meals. Owners are very friendly, kind, willing to help, offering helpful informations. Always with a smile on their faces and nice easy conversations. Clean swimming pool, good for the kids. Beach in front of the hotel is clean, nice and peaceful. Hotel also offers some of water sports supervised by a trained person. Very nice choice for couples. As well as for elder people. Certainly a place I would visit again. I loved it.

Unforgettable vacation in August 2019 with 9 Italian girl friend on the island of Astypalaia, Dodecanese. To make the holiday very special was to stay at the Maltezana Hotel. The construction is modern, spacious, with a Mediterranean flavor. The rooms are very bright, large, with lots of windows. They are equipped with air conditioning, a spacious balcony or a private garden space if on the ground floor. Palm trees, bouganvilles, flowers, blue transparent sky all around. Beautiful swimming pool with bar (extraordinary mohitos and gin and tonic!), "Au déhors" dining room overlooking the garden and swimming pool. The hotel beach is just a few meters away, equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas. From the room, a pareo and in two minutes you are on the beach. From your sunbed you can order lunch or an aperitif. Gregoria comes to bring delicacies from the Maltezana bar or kitchen.She is very kind, smiling, expert. But all the service in the hotel is great. The sense of tranquility that pervades the space and the quiet and gentle clientele, predominantly Greek, are very welcome. Some lucky Italians have been coming back for years. Breakfast is plentiful and varied. You can have lunch and dinner à la carte, with great satisfaction. The cuisine is typical Greek and local. In the kitchen, in addition to an expert cook, there is the "super mom" of the family who runs the hotel. The professionalism, the kindnesses, the availability, the care, the patience, the sympathy of all the members of this great Greck family make the stay particularly pleasant. Many thanks to all.
