★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a stunning monastery in a breathtaking location. The inside of the church is beautiful, with amazing decorations and lots of detail. I encourage anyone visiting corfu to stop there as it's a wonderful and spiritual experience to visit such a nice monastery. They even have a small shop filled with handmade goods made by the nuns. I highly recommend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Somewhat hidden under the road from Paleokastritsa right before Makrades is this small monastery. Ring the bell at the entry and enter this small oasis of peace and quiet. The monastery is run by 3 Romanian nuns who will gladly show you around. Try also the home-made Greek Delight! Support the monastery by buying one of the homemade items from the small shop to help maintain small gem.

Amazing how they keep the gem so beautiful.

A small roadside sign indicates that the Monastery is there.
Such a delight to visit this serene and beautiful holy place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I passed by on my way to Angios Stefano on a very changeable weather day. You need to ring at the door to get access. Inside is the silence. The nun lives inside Nectaria is super friendly and will show and tell all about the story of this monastery. Nice decorations with internal garden with a view from the coast and AngeloKastro. Roses candies and refreshments for the guests.
