Dafür haben wir auf dem Weg zurück nach Kokinos Pirgos eine Schildkröte getroffen - Super toll! The diving school had actually closed today, the instructors are then come especially for us. We had a great dive before Matala, unfortunately the sea was too stormy for a second. But we met a turtle on the way back to Kokinos Pirgos - great!
S	Stefan Werner on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tauchausfahrten finden bei gutem Wetter und ausreichender Personenzahl von Kokkinos Pyrgos aus statt. Es geht zur Insel vor der Küste etwa 1 Stunde entfernt. Meistens, wenn es der Seegang zuläst sind auch Bootsgäste mit dabei. Mittags gibt es schmackhaftes gegrilltes auf der Insel. Die Basis ist seriös mit guten Guides und auch für Anfänger zu empfehlen. Die Tauchplätze sind tagesabhängig mit kleineren Fischen gut besetzt. Es gibt wenige Muränen, Rotfeuerfische und kleinere Barsche. Der Unterwasserbewuchs weist allerdings Schäden auf. Nach 3 Tauchtagen mit jeweils 2 Tauchgängen hatte ich ausreichende Einblicke. Anlaufstelle ist das Hotel Little In in Kokkinos Pyrgos. Dort ist auch die Tauchbasis zu finden. Diving trips take place from Kokkinos Pyrgos when the weather is good and there are enough people. It goes to the island off the coast about 1 hour away. Most of the time, when the swell allows it, boat guests are also with us. At lunchtime there are tasty grilled dishes on the island. The base is serious with good guides and is also recommended for beginners. Depending on the day, the dive sites are well stocked with smaller fish. There are few moray eels, lionfish and smaller perch. However, the underwater vegetation shows damage. After 3 days of diving with 2 dives each, I had sufficient insight. The contact point is the Hotel Little In in Kokkinos Pyrgos. The diving center can also be found there.
J	J M (Missing95) on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sehr nette Tauchbuddys Zwei Tauchgänge für 100€ inklusive BBQ am Strand. Für 35€ können auch Leute mit die nicht tauchen wollen, auch lohnenswert, da der Strand sehr schnorchelfreundlich ist. War echt ein super Erlebnis. Allerdings soll die Tauchschule im Sommer sehr voll sein, d.h. größere Gruppen. Ich war letzte Woche jedenfalls nur mit noch 2 weiteren Tauchern unterwegs, echt total entspannt. Erster Tauchgang ging bis 36 Meter, hatten circa 50 Meter Sicht. Zweiter ging nur bis 15, selbe Sichtweite. Von den Fischen her war es okay, viel interessanter War die Landschaft, schöne Steinformationen und Klippen sowie große Schwämme. Gerne wieder! Very nice diving dudes Two dives for 100 € including BBQ on the beach. For 35 € also people with the not want to dive, also worthwhile, as the beach is very snorkel friendly. Was really a great experience. However, the diving school should be very crowded in the summer, i. larger groups. Anyway, last week I only went with 2 more divers, really relaxed. First dive went up to 36 meters, had about 50 meters visibility. Second went only to 15, same visibility. From the fish it was okay, much more interesting was the landscape, beautiful rock formations and cliffs and large sponges. Gladly again!
C	Cas Rammeloo on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ On thursday around 9 p.m. I called them to ask if there was a possibility to book for 4 persons on saturday. The man said: "no problem, let me know today or tomorrow and it will be fine.". So friday morning 10 a.m. I called him again to make the reservation. He then told me saturday was fully booked and the only available spot was on monday. So okay, we reserved on monday, this time for 2 persons since the other 2 had to make their flight that day. All seemed good and well. On saturday evening around 8-9 p.m. I received a phonecall from the guy telling me that a big group of people already booked with his collegue for monday, and that the collegue forgot to tell him about it. He cancelled our booking without apology and told me the next day available was thursday. I asked him if he could arrange a booking with another dive school since we have our flight home on wednesday. "No problem my friend" he answered me, and I haven't heard from him since. Basically this dive school stand for nothing, except making the most amount of money. I wouldn't reccommend it to anyone.
m	michael strathmann on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I took my children (11 and 14) here for the 1-day boat trip including introduction to SCUBA. We all had the best day ever. The crew and instructors were friendly and knowledgeable, we all felt very safe and well looked after. We got a long time in the water together and the instructor stayed close but gave us more freedom than I had expected which made the experience great. The dive was off an uninhabited island off the coast, and they had a barbecue set up on the beach . There were about 14 divers on the boat, we were the only non-qualified. Everyone had a very good time. We were the only British on the boat, the crew spoke excellent English. We will dive with Mare Sud again.
C	Chris Janowski on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical about diving in Crete for some obvious reasons, but these guys made it exciting, fun and very enjoyable. A trip to the Paximadia Islands it’s a must for both divers and snorkeling enthusiasts, but don’t worry. If this in not your ticket then just come for the lunch included in the price. You will be very pleasantly surprised. It was simply delicious. Jason their dive master was a true delight and a professional guide. I left Paximadia with a load of my best memories. Thank you guys.
