β β β β β Atlantis diving centre, Panormos...making me feel at home above and below the surface.
It is very easy to find a dive centre when travelling overseas, most are reputable, some are less so and every once in a while, if youβre lucky, you discover a Pearl. The Atlantis diving centre in Rethymnon, Crete is one of those very special finds.
The expertise of the Atlantis team instills immediate confidence and is surpassed only by their friendly, caring and fun attitude.
As an older diver I was a little anxious, especially as it had been 15 years since the last time I dived.
My instructor and dive buddy, Filippos Gioumpakis, was patient, understanding and encouraging. Taking additional time to ensure I fully understood each dive briefing while encouraging me to relax and get the most from each dive. As he likes to say βSafety first then funβ. Special thanks too to Giorgos, Aliki and Natalia for making me feel so welcome and for looking after my friend, Martin, on his introduction to scuba...heβs hooked.
I will be returning with my family later this year and in 2020. Weβre all very excited to share the experiences Scuba diving has to offer and can think of no better diving centre to guide us on those adventures.

β β β β β We loved Atlantis diving center. Definitely the place to go when you want to dive on the island of Crete. The owner Giorgos runs this place already for 27 years and that shows how well everything is organised. We did our open water advanced and enriched air nitrox course and we were lucky to do several dives with the whole crew Alakia, Filipos and Nathalia. Giorgos did our theory one on one where he took all the time to answer all our questions and he loved that we were so enthusiastic and we loved his passion. The crew is relaxed, funny and really good experienced divers, but most of all very professional. They picked us up every day to bring us to the diving center and all the locations. They took us to many beautiful diving spots, we are lucky to have this nice experience with them. We hope to go back in the future!
