Taverna da cercare e una volta scoperta è una goduria. Non adatto ai fighetti "agostani". Posto verace e da vivere! Grazie Mathios. Mathios is still a true Greek innkeeper .... He doesn't speak English or Italian, we make do with the menu .... But then .... Tavern to look for and once discovered it is a pleasure. Not suitable for "Augustan" jocks. Real place to live! Thanks Mathios.

Mathios con la sua semplicità e gentilezza ci ha preparato dei piatti tipici cretesi veramente molto buoni, per non parlare della moussaka....la migliore di tutta Creta! Grazie di cuore per averci coccolati e un arrivederci al prossimo anno! This small, magical tavern is the most relaxing place to spend an evening after a day at the beach. Mathios with his simplicity and kindness prepared us really very good typical Cretan dishes, not to mention the moussaka .... the best in all of Crete! Thank you very much for pampering us and see you next year!

But if you like true Cretan food and old rustic charm and talking to all the other guests, you will love it. No menu, just what Mathios is cooking on the day. Great food and wine and don’t bother getting impatient as it all comes when it’s ready and not before. We had a brilliant dinner!

B	Barbara Valenti on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had amazing dinners there! Mathios is a very gentle person. It is a small, hidden place in the middle of a small village. We enjoyed the tranquility. As we hardly eat any meat, he prepared us vegan meatballs. The fries are homemade and really tasty (I ate the last time french fries more than 10 years ago, as I don't like them). The place is very small. The only downside is that some "loud tourists" think it is their place, and you can't understand your word anymore. Thank you Mathios for your hospitality!
