Lovely area with nice hotels and the port of Milos, adjacent to which is the excellent Kafenes Taverna serving brilliant Greek food and has great views of the port, boats and the sea.

Lovely little island city. We roamed through it for three days and we found it very pleasant and friendly

Even off-season you need to get here early to guarantee a stern-to mooring in the harbour. Having said that there were no mooring charges and we just needed to pay a small amount to top up our water tanks. There are mopeds for hire (15 euros for an afternoon - you'll need a driving license and must convince hirer that you can ride a moped!) Note you can easily cover the whole island in an afternoon so well worth hiring a moped if you can. Lots of waterfront tavernas. Struggled to get conversation from owners of Taverna next to harbour, but moving further down the waterfront we found the Tavernas were more friendly and accommodating. As usual menus basic but lots of fresh seafood made for a pleasant evening meal. Some great swimming to be had at Skala beach to the east but many cafes and tavernas closed off-season. From a wildlife perspective lots of interesting things going on, especially inland where you will see BIG birds of prey (I'm struggling to identify some but think I saw black Kits and eagles, there were even some huge, wild turkeys!) Some very pretty settlements, many with chapels but interestingly few bars inland or in the south of the island, perhaps with the exception of Aponessos in the SW.

Agistri it's a very nice island near Athens. Megalochori it's the cherry from the cake. The water it is clean, the view it is nice. There is that feeling of community with the nature. It is a nice place for one day trip. On the island recommended to have a car. Good place to go with friends or your partner.

Small port with beautiful view beside. You can see from there the sea and far fade mountains and in front you can see the Green mountains of Agistri Island.It is very close to most restaraunts/hotels and other nice beaches by around 1-2 km distance.
