★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Τέμενος Μεχμέτ Μπέη, βρίσκεται δίπλα στο ρέμα των Αγίων Αναργύρων στις Σέρρες. Είναι το μεγαλύτερο και αρχαιότερο από τα σωζόμενα μουσουλμανικά τεμένη των Σερρών. Κτίστηκε στα 1492-93 από τον Μεχμέτ Μπέη, σύζυγο της πριγκίπισσας Σελτζούκ Χατούν, κόρης του Βαγιαζίτ Β, η οποία έζησε στις Σέρρες τις τελευταίες δεκαετίες του 15ου αιώνα. Οι κίονες είναι από λευκό μάρμαρο, το ίδιο και τα κιονόκρανα τα οποία κοσμούνται εξαιρετικής τέχνης πρισματικούς σταλακτίτες. Εσωτερικά οι τοίχοι ήταν επιχρισμένοι. Αρχικά όλοι οι θόλοι ήταν μολυβδοσκέπαστοι. Σύμφωνα με τις περιγραφές περιηγητών, ένας θαυμάσιος κήπος περιέβαλε το κτίριο. Σήμερα το κτίριο αναζητεί τη χρήση εκείνη που θα προβάλει το μεγαλείο του εσωτερικού του χώρου.
 Mehmet Bey Mosque is located next to the stream of Agioi Anargyroi in Serres. It is the largest and oldest of the surviving mosques in Serres. It was built in 1492-93 by Mehmet Bey, wife of Princess Selcuk Hatun, daughter of Bayazit II, who lived in Serres in the last decades of the 15th century. The columns are made of white marble, as are the capitals which are adorned with fine art prismatic stalactites. Inside the walls were plastered. Initially all the domes were covered with lead. According to travelers' descriptions, a magnificent garden surrounded the building. Today the building is looking for the use that will highlight the grandeur of the interior.

A beautiful historic site. Very beautiful outdoor space ideal for small performances during the summer months.
