Πανέμορφο σαν κτίσμα εξωτερικά και λόγω της φύσης που περιστοιχίζεται αλλά και εσωτερικά με τα ταβάνια και τα εκθέματα του. Φιλοξενεί εκθέματα από διάφορες περιόδους. Αρχαϊκή και ρωμαϊκή και έχει πολύ ενδιαφέρον. Ένα ακόμα υπέρ του είναι η δωρεάν είσοδος. A museum in the heart of the city of Serres that is really a jewel. Beautiful as a building outside and due to the nature that is surrounded, but also internally with its ceilings and exhibits. It hosts exhibits from various periods. ΣΗΜΕΊΩΣΗ ΌΤΙ ΕΊΝΑΙ ΔΩΡΕΑΝ ΧΩΡΙΣ ΕΙΣΗΤΗΡΙΟ. Το αρχαιολογικο μουσείο Σερρών στεγάζεται από το 1970 στο Μπεζεστένι κλειστή στεγασμένη αγορά του β' μισού του 15ου αι. που βρίσκεται στο σημερινό κέντρο της πόλης. Χτίστηκε κατά το πρότυπο των βυζαντινών αγορών και το όνομα του σημαίνει αγορά υφασμάτων. Εκτίθενται ευρήματα, από την Μέση και Ύστερη Νεολιθική εποχή, Πρώιμη και Ύστερη εποχή του Χαλκού (αγγεία, πήλινα ειδώλια), από τον 4ο έως και 6ο -7ο π.Χ, τους Ρωμαϊκούς χρόνους, την Ελληνιστική και Βυζαντινή εποχή. Τα ευρήματα προέρχονται από την πόλη των Σερρών αλλά και από ανασκαφές σε αρχαίες πόλεις του Νομού Σερρών. Very nice little museum! The exhibits are few but the space is impressive! The museum employee is very kind. NOTE THAT IS FREE WITHOUT A TICKET. The Archaeological Museum of Serres has been housed since 1970 in Bezesteni, a closed covered market of the second half of the 15th century. located in the current city center. It was built according to the model of the Byzantine markets and its name means market of fabrics. Finds from the Middle and Late Neolithic Age, Early and Late Bronze Age (pottery, clay figurines), from the 4th to the 6th -7th BC, Roman times, the Hellenistic and Byzantine eras are on display. The findings come from the city of Serres but also from excavations in ancient cities of the Prefecture of Serres.
