★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not only are Memas's works glorious, but the extraordinary museum he has created to house sculpture, models for monumental sculptural works, and painting is so very impressive that I truly herald his great imagination and design. His viewing spaces (not just one continuous venue, but a series) are works of art in their own right. Ah, and the gardens! And he is utterly charming! Need I say more? Kefalonia is a splendid Ionian island with a fascinating history, so do visit and do indeed spend time with Memas's beautiful offerings. If you happen to arrive on a lucky day, the artist will personally greet you and offer a fine cup of coffee in his great outdoors.
