Monument in honor of Marinos Zampatis murdered Greek soldier at the hands of Albanian drug dealers on the island of Corfu. Next to the monument, there is a magnificent view of the Lefkada Islands, Sporpios and the bay of the town of Spartochori.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great view point but little or no parking. Venture into town by car at your peril streets are narrow and the locals don’t back down. For info the monument commemorates Marine Zampitas who was tragically killed tackling Albanian drug smugglers at sea. It’s a steep walk uphill but worth it and you can explore the little village.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well worth a visit to Spartochori just for this view. Looking out over Lefkas, Skorpios and the mainland, it's one of my all time favourites! Plus there's a bar literally above the terrace for you to drink in the views some more!
