Δίνονται οι βασικές γνώσεις για την Γεωλογία και την ορυκτολογία. Ενδιαφέρουσα η συλλογή απολιθωμάτων και αντιπροσωπευτικών ορυκτών - πετρωμάτων. Η λειτουργία του απέτρεψε την εγκατάλειψη του παλαιού Δημοτικού Σχολείου Καστρακίου και ταυτόχρονα την διατήρηση του με την νέα χρήση των χώρων. It provides elaborate and scientifically accurate evidence of the cause of the geological phenomenon and formation of the Meteora complex. Basic knowledge of Geology and mineralogy is given. Interesting collection of fossils and representative minerals - rocks. Its operation prevented the abandonment of the old Kastraki Primary School while preserving it with the new use of the premises.

Op de website staat dat er beneden een video van 15 minuten is te zien over het ontstaan van Meteora en omgeving. Dat is niet het geval. Beneden is een 7 minuten durende film met mooie beelden van de omgeving zonder commentaar. De film wordt aangezet op aanvraag. Op de bovenverdieping, die buitenom is te bereiken, is een korte film van 4 minuten over het ontstaan van Meteora en omgeving. Al met al is het een klein museum maar wel zeer informatief en het bezoeken waard als je meer wilt weten over deze prachtige omgeving. Nice museum, in an old school building and free to visit. Here you will discover everything about the origin of Meteora. The website states that there is a 15-minute video below about the origin of Meteora and the surrounding area. That is not the case. Downstairs is a 7-minute movie with beautiful images of the area without commentary. The film is turned on on request. On the top floor, which can be reached from the outside, is a short film of 4 minutes about the origin of Meteora and the surrounding area. All in all it is a small museum but very informative and worth a visit if you want to learn more about this beautiful area.

R	Robert Cooke on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A nice and free museum that explains history of how Meteora developed. It starts at the beginning literally 4.7 billion years ago when this planet was formed. It explains rocks, minerals and over 2 stories lays out step by step process of the region. It's really worth visiting to learn more about the region.
