★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I never thought that a "mushroom museum" can actually be so interesting. It's actually a natural science museum that represents not only the local fauna but also some history, habits and customs related to mushrooms found in the Meteora region. They also have a shop with various mushroom based products and souvenirs. The staff is very helpful and polite and they will give you lots of information. You can also use your phone to scan QR codes for each exhibition to find out even more details. It was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend you to visit this place especially with kids. So if you are visiting Meteora don't miss this place, it's great!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is amazing. The downstairs with the birds is incredible, I can't think of anywhere you can go and see such a collection of stuffed birds in such condition. It's something you just can't do in the wild. But the upstairs with the mushrooms was the best part for me. The guy upstairs was passionate and knowledgeable, we spoke about the mushrooms here and the health benefits, the types of mushrooms, the ones that are deadly. Really, the place is amazing and you should go.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love this museum! The QR code explanations are wonderful, the taxidermied animals look good (and have good explanations), and the mushroom part is fascinating as well. Lovely staff that are friendly and speak English fluently (which isn't expected, but certainly appreciated). Well worth the admission.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ [visited in July 2021] Unexpected gem of a museum to be found in such a cradle of Greek Orthodox spirituality that is the Meteora region! Very well kept exhibits and nice scenes on the natural science floor. The floor dedicated to mushrooms is the gem inside of the gem, with very surprising products made of mushrooms available to taste and purchase.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nicely organized, both the animal section on the ground floor and the mushroom section on the first floor.
The shop had a wide selection of food products with a large variety of mushrooms.
Also the truffle hunting organized in collaboration with the museum was a unique experience well worth it.
