★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A long-needed museum for the formation of the Meteora rock complex. Well-documented, in a beautiful building, with nifty tricks when needed. To be on the safe side, give them a call beforehand, in order to make sure that it is open.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great small museum about history of Meteora and it’s geology. We’ve learned a lot! Thanks to everyone who worked on it! It’s very interesting, pleasant to be there. Not too much information, not too little- just right . Beautiful and easy to understand schemes , pictures and photos, wonderful little film from the geologists with information. And it’s free, modern and very well maintained.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 31st May. It's always closed, Sunday and Monday. The tourist information centre states that it should be open Monday morning, but actually not.
The 3D projection centre near Kalampaka is open as scheduled. I recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ During the visit to the museum you learn the way that Meteora rocks were formed and you can see a lot of stones of different kinds. Indeed a very nice experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A really nice museum definitely worth visiting giving a scientific insight on the creation of the Meteora formation. A good collection of beautiful exhibits amplify the pleasure. If in the area definitely worth visiting, also free!

It is free. Outside the museum is a quiet place where you can see the rocks very closely. Enjoy~
