★ ★ ★ ★ ★ All archeological sites in Samothraki are closed in the winter time. Tourist season starts on Easter vacation. The archeological site of Mikro Vouni is exceptionally interesting. This was the very first settlement on the island 7000 years ago, connecting a trade route between Creta and the Black sea.
The site is located about 2.5km from the Kamariotissa and accessible by an agricultural road or simply by foot, walking down the beach from Kamariotissa.
