Από το 1995 έως το 2005 που εγκαθίσταται η πρώτη αδελφότης, την φροντίδα της ανεγέρσεως της Ιεράς Μονής, είχε η ερανική επιτροπή, διοριζόμενη και με την ηθική συμπαράσταση του νυν Ποιμενάρχου μας κ.κ. Ιγνατίου. Από την αρχή και μέχρι τώρα, πνευματικός καθοδηγητής και άοκνος συνεργάτης είναι ο γέροντας της Ιεράς Μονής, π. Κων/νος Μυγδάλης. Με την χάρη του Θεού, την μεσιτεία και προστασία της Παναγίας της Γοργοϋπηκοου, την οποία αισθανόμαστε καθημερινά, η αδελφότης παράλληλα με τον γέροντα της, επιδίδεται σε τιτάνιο αγώνα, ώστε οι εργασίες της Ιεράς Μονής, όχι μόνον να συνεχίζονται, αλλά να ευρίσκονται και σε ικανοποιητικό στάδιο. Η Ιερά Μονή ευρίσκεται σε υψόμετρο 500 μ. περίπου βορειοδυτικά της πόλεως του Βόλου και απέχει 8 χιλιόμετρα από το κέντρο της πόλεως και 3 χιλιόμετρα από τον οικισμό του Φυτόκου. Κατατοπιστικές πινακίδες οδηγούν τον επισκέπτη μέχρι την πύλη της Ι. Μονής. Ο π. Εξαιρετική η γερόντισσα και οι αδερφές της Μονής. Πρόθυμες να ακούσουν τους προβληματισμούς και να συμβουλεύσουν. For my soul it is the place where it calms down. Protector, the Virgin of my family, consolation in difficulties. The old woman and the sisters of the Monastery are excellent. Willing to listen to the concerns and give advice.
G	George Tzimas on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ένα φανταστικό μοναστήρι σε εξαιρετική τοποθεσία. Πολύ όμορφο με απεριόριστη θέα, με τεράστιο προαύλιο. Εξαιρετικές εγκαταστάσεις σε άψογες συνθήκες. Δυστυχώς όταν το επισκεφθήκαμε δε συναντήσαμε κάποια μοναχή να δούμε και το εσωτερικό του μοναστηριού. Ο δρόμος μέχρι ένα σημείο άσφαλτος μετά χωματόδρομος μέτριας κατάστασης. A fantastic monastery in a great location. Very beautiful with unrestricted views, with a huge courtyard. Excellent facilities in perfect conditions. Unfortunately when we visited it we did not meet a nun to see the inside of the monastery. The road to an asphalt point after a mediocre dirt road.
