It's a must visit place if you looking for Seafood If you visit for the first time the place is very simple The taste of the seafood is delicious Great service by Leonida He took really good care of us Don't hesitate to try.

Today i decided to try Barbounaki in central athens (monastiraki) since we were in the area and i was not impressed. My bill went up to $90 euro and i was just with my 8 year old son. The amount was not the problem, we had the dolmadakia and they were te-rri-ble. it was like eating rocks wrapped in vine leaves. I told the waiter that "everything else was OK but the dolmadakia were terrible, they were cold and the rice was dry". he just took them back and gave me the bill which included the dolmadakia. i ate one and my son ate one but we left the other 3-4 on the plate, there were only 5-6 dolmadakia on the plate. in glyfada they gave us 8 dolmadakia. I'm sorry but on a $90 euro bill(for 2 people) if the client complains that the $5 euro dolmadakia were terrible (which they were), you take take them off the bill. that's my opinion. now i'm never stepping there again, their loss.

Marinated sea bass (lavraki), taramosalata and smoked eel are our group's favorite dishes, but everything is so fresh and tasty that makes it hard to decide. All in all one of my favorite restaurants because of food-service-location-atmosphere.

S	Steven Chan on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delicious food but service is a bit scatterbrained. First we waited for 15 minutes before someone took our order. Then they totally forgot one of our dishes but left the dish on the bill. It was OK as the orzo with shrimp was heavenly and huge so nobody walked away hungry. We talked to our Airbnb host and she said in her memory, service is always terrible here. That’s why she never recommend this restaurant to her guests. Come for the food. Expect some craziness.

Our waiter, who was very nice, said the fish would take quite a bit longer — I guess close to two hours after ordering since we were there an hour — so he brought the bill and we left to eat somewhere else. They admitted Sunday is nuts but no way should they have that many tables if the kitchen can’t support it. Wouldn’t go back on a Sunday, and probably not at all.
