★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Impressive location – a former ship storage hall of the Venetian fleet – well used for the display of a functional model of a Minoan vessel. Though the reconstruction was created with few sources and a good measure of imagination, it is well worth the visit and quiet beautiful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice and small exhibition. Very informative about the history of Crete. Although the amount of displayed artefacts is small there is a lot of background information, historical maps, pictures of historical figures and of course the boats. Unfortunately they are currently covered (maintenance?), but it is possible to view the big boat anyway.
