M	Monica Edwards on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The site is very interesting and amazingly well preserved. The museum contains many artefacts and these are well explained. Unfortunately one of the staff in the museum was very discourteous and this spoiled what would have been a great visit.

Furthermore the content of the museum was nothing exciting. The Agora is amazing, but go to the Archeological Museum of Thessaloniki for a much better version of this museum.

D	D Douglas on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We felt the docents were friendly and very happy to answer questions. Really good rundown of the history of the city. Lots of photos.. it was also a folk museum as it explained weaving, pottery, and smelting. It covered the huge fire in 1917. We enjoyed it.

The museum is underground, below the square. Plenty of history and archeological findings.
