You are not supposed to leave the table hungry after paying 37€ for two people, and a pile of bread and potatoes with the tiny amount of meat is hardly going to make it any better. Not at this price, anyway. Also, one single number scribbled on a piece of paper is not a bill. Some of the staff were nice; it's not their fault how the business is run. Not recommend.

We were disappointed not to have a little gift extra from the house, how it is the case everywhere else in Crete. It seems like in Agios Nikolaous they forget about this nice tradition!

Food was just tasteless, the lamb very fatty, portions were small, tasteless, the fish soup tasted like a chicken and Vegeta soup with a chunk of fish that was surely frozen and most probably not local(tasted like cod, i think). They did not have a lot of the options of the menu and the servers were just absent minded, we got the beer first and my coffee came right along with the mezes and food, all at once. Tourist trap i would not recommend.
