It's just because it doesn't fit into a standard hotel definition, as there isn't a restaurant on site but it's possible to get breakfast and lunch from the bar and you get a kitchenette to self cater beyond that. Plenty of places to eat around and about and English is widely and well spoken. Lots of personal attention. Very child friendly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very old accommodation that has recently had a complete revamp for the better.Family owned and run by english speaking owners and very accommodating, good views 'not of the sea but still nice ones of the Mountains and are surrounding this small but peaceful village. A good choice if you want simple but all the amenities on offer in this area . Greek on the who do not cater for the ultimate luxury traveller but the islands do offer so much more.

Vicky and Alex are the warmest of hosts and I can’t write a review without praising the service of the gorgeous Sandra! As someone who appreciates detail, I love the little creative touches. My children have grown up coming to My Little Place on the Hill and would happily tell you how awesome it is for families. Magic on a hill in the most lovely setting. Kefalonia and My Little Place… you have our hearts!

The location is fab, the suites have everything you need and are great value, and the owners Vicky and Alex are welcoming, warm and supremely helpful. Don't hesitate in staying here, you absolutely won't regret it.

My Little Place on the Hill is run by Alex and Vicky who are friendly and kind hosts. We arrived late in the evening after an already late flight was delayed. Alex greeted us at the gate and helped take our bags to our room, before offering a welcome drink from the bar - gratefully received on the balcony after getting our boys to bed.
The apartments are relatively Spartan but furnished in very good taste - which is extended throughout the grounds. The gardens are really beautiful and setting picturesque. We all enjoyed the pool which is a good size and located near to the bar for refreshments.
I recommend hiring a car for getting around as the location is quite isolated (price of the beautiful setting), but there is a good restaurant within 15 minutes walk for dinner and drinks - Cavo Liakas - to give the designated driver a night or two off.
On our last day, Alex and Vicky kindly let us keep the room as we had an evening flight. We hope to visit again soon - thank you for everything!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We, family of three with a five year old, spend two amazing and relaxing weeks at this lovely retreat. We had a great time and enjoyed every minute. Vicky and Alex, the bar crew and all other staff are very friendly and always helpful. The room was great and as all balcons face the pool and stunning view we used it everyday. Same with the huge pool. In short: we highly recommend this little place and hope to come back soon.
