Another important Mycenaean archeological tomb in Argolida, with vaulted tombs and of great historical importance, left to its fate.

Very impressive cemetery of the Mycenaean period. Vaulted tombs in very good condition. It is noteworthy that in one of them was found the oldest bronze armor, which dates back to the end of the 15th century BC and is exhibited in the Archaeological Museum of Nafplio. I would like the access from the vegetation to some tombs to be clearer. It is worth visiting after visiting Mycenae. I consider it an unfair tourist destination.

Place rather empty. Nowhere to park but then again no other visitors. All the interesting exhibits are in the Archaeological Museum of Nafplio, so save yourself the trouble and go there instead.

This is a small Mycenean-era cemetery near Midea and contains a number of tholos and similar tombs, most of which can be entered. Most are smaller than the well-known tombs at Mycenae, but the site is well marked with interpretive signs which explain the significance of each tomb and the major artifacts that were found and where to see them. It's not a busy place; we were the only people there when we visited. There are no facilities or gift shop, but you're also unlikely to be stuck behind a tour group!

A very interesting place for all lovers of Mycenaean culture and the place where the ruling class of nearby Midea was burried. Dendra gives you an insight of the various burial methods used by the Mycenaeans; tholos tombs, chamber graves and shaft graves. The great thing is that it’s not discovered by mass tourism and most likely you’ll have the site all for yourself.

Little place or of nowhere where a lot of the things from the exhibition of the archeological museum of nafplio were found.
