I reperti del II millennio a.C certificano la presenza dei micenei a Cefalonia che fu, in passato, una grande produttrice di grano che scambiava con le vicine isole e con il Peloponneso
Il piccolo sito archeologico, composto principalmente da antichi muri, passaggi e resti di edifici, quando lo abbiamo visitato noi, non era propriamente accessibile o aperto al pubblico, invaso com'era da sterpaglie ed erbacce. Povrebbe venir riqualificato e valorizzato in chiave turistica.

The finds of the second millennium BC certify the presence of the Mycenaeans in Kefalonia which was, in the past, a large producer of wheat that traded with the nearby islands and the Peloponnese
The small archaeological site, consisting mainly of ancient walls, passages and remains of buildings, when we visited it, was not properly accessible or open to the public, as it was overgrown with weeds and weeds. It could be redeveloped and enhanced from a tourist point of view.

We've been looking for this archeological site for at least an hour and couldn't find it, when I read another review it's a pity we couldn't find it, as I really love ancient history, instead we've found another Mycenaean cemetery not so very far from it in Lakithra which hasn't been marked in google yet in some views. - Next time we'll be in Kefalonia, we'll have to go back here so I can give it a proper rating
