Έχει πολύ κόσμο και η καθαριότητα δεν είναι η καλύτερη. Αν και η σύνδεση με λεωφορειακές γραμμές δεν είναι τόσο καλή βρίσκεται πολύ κοντά στην αγορά της Νέας Ιωνίας και σε πολλές πλατείες της. It needs maintenance urgently. The bridge to cross from one side to the other is as dilapidated as the canopies. It is very crowded and the cleanliness is not the best. Εγκαινιάστηκε στις 14 Μαρτίου 1956 και η σημερινή του μορφή ανάγεται στο 2003, όταν και ανακαινίστηκαν (σταδιακά, το 2003 - 2004) όλοι οι σταθμοί της γραμμής 1 εν όψει των Ολυμπιακών Αγώνων της Αθήνας. Διαθέτει δύο πλευρικές αποβάθρες και γραμμή εναπόθεσης αμαξοστοιχιών. Ο σταθμός υπήρξε από τα εγκαίνιά του μέχρι την επέκταση του δικτύου προς το Ηράκλειο, στις 4 Μαρτίου 1957, ο προς βορράν τερματικός σταθμός της γραμμής. Βρίσκεται στην οδό Διον. The mini gift shop above the station when it's closed, looks pretty cool with those green laser lights on. It feels like being in a club when you walk in the dark up there. There are also two bus lines based near the station, particularly at the stop called post office of Nea Ionia . 724 and 604. 724 has direction to Metamorfosi and Mesonychi, Acharnes via Tatoiou and Konstantinou Karamanli, and 604 is a local line of the area of Metamorfosi, and then continues to Agioi Anargyroi hospital of Kifisia.
