★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So much more than than the little town one is led to believe it is. Loads of things to get involved in - as long as you're not looking for big city activities. Lovely and breath taking beauty for the lone ranger or for the family (no difference). Great food. Fabulously hospitable locals. Hidden, unspoilt beaches everywhere with #elafonisos less than 20min away and #kithira just under an hour. Great place to find peace, read, write, swim, eat drink and generally be merry.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The ferry and the port are managed very well. Just take your time and listen to the ship crew. Also give yourself adequate time to get your ticket and load the car onto the ferry. Sometimes there could be a small wait at the ferry ticket office. Overall well run.
