The place is quite big with a lot of ferries,cruise ships and fiahing boats around it.getting around is quite easy.

The harbor of Heraklion is nice, but not I must-see from our point-of-view. If you have sufficient time, you can have a walk there. Compared to the Venetian harbor of Chania, the harbor of Heraklion is rather unimposing.

A beautiful city. Extremely busy this time of year, however, and the lack of available parking did not help at all -- especially at 24° Celsius.

Realy nice city, full of history and beauty

Easily accessible close to the city, and the airport. All major ferry liners ship daily. Port authorities great job, safety first and very friendly.

The port is quite busy but enough room to social distance. The sea was rough, I got soaked, but it was all fun. I would recommend, if you have time to browse the area. Beautiful photo opportunities.

This COMPANY IS A SCAM!!!! The Heraklion Port should be ashamed of themselves for letting multiple cruise patrons get ROBBED!!!! It's bad business. The bus company is inside the port. I Assume the port must be getting a cash kick back!!!The bus company are aggressively asking you to purchase tickets to a hop on hop off bus tour. WE LOVE HOP ON HOP OFF BUS TOURS. They asked for $20 person in cash. We told them, we didn't have it, so we used a credit card. The ladies at the desk, gave us a map and repeatedly said get off at stops #3 and #9 for shopping. We tourist jammed on the bus. The earphones nor recording worked. We COULDN'T change the channels to English. The bus driver told, ME... IT will work when the bus starts. Guess what??? Bus started and the recording never worked. The bus driver NEVER stopped. He said, it was an express!!! The people became irate. We called over the police. The 50 or so tourist stayed together and demanded our money back. If you look at the pictures the man tried to drive off on his motorcycle. The police made him stop. The ladies covered their faces not to be photographed. SHAMEFUL...The lady from the desk switched clothes and was casually walking a dog. It's so sad, that companies like this can stay in business and rob innocent tourist. The Crete Island, must be told. ? I hope this review has helped someone. There is another bus company there , that didn't rob its tourist.
