Our host, Grigoria is wonderful - warm, welcoming and very helpful. Our villa, number 5 (Scandia) is very comfortable. Bedroom is spacious, living/dining room has two chairs and nice wooden table, wall mounted flat screen TV. Kitchen is well equipped, there is small oven/stove, half fridge, kettle, coffee maker and "toast" maker. Free WiFi has good speed. There are steps right up to loft where there are two twin beds -- very cosy. Bathroom is clean, villa has modern design and shower has good pressure. Great, fluffy towels! In the bedroom, there is small safe, wardrobe with quite a few hangers, dresser with big mirror, a chair and two night tables. Bed was comfortable for us - firm and not too hard. There is a fan, as well as air conditioning. Most of the windows have mosquito screen, so can keep windows open for lovely cross breeze, especially in the living/kitchen. We didn't use the AC on some evenings. The entire villa is beautifully decorated -- built of stone with high ceilings (warm, contemporary design). View from front, covered patio is gorgeous -- sea view. It's covered patio and gets morning sun. In the back, there is bistro table on small patio to have breakfast, as it is in the shade in the morning. All well thought out. Garden is gorgeous - pomegranate shrubs, pear and palm trees, rhododendron shrubs, fliwers, figs. Thank you for the fragrant pears and welcome offering of honey on rusk, water and fatourada (tsipouro with clove and cinnamon). All delicious. Villa is 17 minutes drive to Potamos, 6 minutes to Avlemonas, 3 minutes-to Paleopoli beach,and 5-minutes walk to Scandia restaurant. Everyone at villa is really friendly - Giulietta who does a great cleaning job is so happy and always upbeat. Garbage is collected daily. Highly recommended and next time, we will stay longer than 7 days! - perhaps even register for new venture of hosting yoga retreats. Thanks Grigoria for your warm hospitality.

Rustic charm. Tranquil shady gardens. Children's playground. Outdoor kitchen and dining. Large yoga pergola overlooking water views. Vast organic gardens. Fruit trees. Bore water. Well maintained. Tasteful retreat. What more could you ask for on a restorative break?

Excellent sophisticated villa with breathtaking view to the sea. Upon arrival we were very welcome by the host Grigoria. She guided us what to visits in Kyhtera and offered us fresh fruits, local rusk with honey. Excellent traditional villa, clean, neat, quiet, amazing sea view-the big blue- from the balcony. Julietta was cleaning the villa every day. Excellent location close to Avlemonas village with Boggio cafe and 10mins away from Kaladi, the most popular beach of the Kythera. Must stay. Such an amazing experience!!! First of all, the hospitality! Grigoria and Julietta made us feel like home! They are willing to inform you about everything regarding the island, they treated us by with local Paximadia, honey and mizithra (local cheese) and they were super pleasant to talk to!!! Secondly, it's garden is a marvel!! It's out of question that they pay huge effort in maintaining that jewel! Last but not least, even though the check out time was around 11.00 or 12.00, we were allowed to stay for extra couple of hours!!! Well done!! That's how it should be done!!!

Great place to stay to explore beautiful Kythira island: beautiful beaches nearby (don’t miss Kaladi beach and some great morning running on Paleopoli and Limni beach)

First of all the house was beautiful! Traditional looking and at the same time with all the modern accommodations. We had a very warm welcome by the owner with fresh fruits, local treats and a bottle of wine, who then very generously gave us access to the fruits of the garden. Last but not least the house was very clean, with daily maintenance. We would definitely recommend it, should you visit Kythera!

I didn't stay but I attended a yoga workshop and I felt so peaceful, relaxed and awesome! Beautiful rooms!
