★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Κατά την παλαιοχριστιανική και βυζαντινή εποχή, ο οχυρωμένος οικισμός ήταν γνωστός με το όνομα “Κάστρο Παλαιών”. Το κάστρο επισκευάστηκε από τον Ιουστινιανό το 551μ. Χ. Υπάρχει σχετική αναφορά στο έργου του Προκόπιου “Περί κτισμάτων”.
 During the Early Christian and Byzantine era, the fortified settlement was known as the "Old Castle". The castle was repaired by Justinian in 551m. X. There is a reference to the Procopius project "Buildings".
