Beautiful church and the surrounding area. There seemed to be walks just to right before the gate.

Tiny little church we’ve randomly stumbled upon. Unfortunately it wasn’t open when we got there, but the area is still very photogenic and pretty. In front of the church, there are the locals selling handmade woven cloths, make sure to support them as well.

it's a 3 minutes stop, they ask for donations for the church.

An absolutely stunning early Christian church. Beautiful exterior and the interior is gorgeous. I left with a sad feeling as the old paintings have faded and have for the most part been lost. Plexiglass frames might have saved some but it's too late now. 100% worth going though.

We have been very disapointed of this church. Indeed you can see the 5/6 century design and it makes something to visit such antique site. But when we wanted to enter, a lady, maybe sister asked us to give something to the church otherwise we couldn’t visit it. We would have given something but allowing the acces to a Place of worship just if you pay is not respectful (it is just my opinion). I just remind that the initial function of a church is to pray and not to be a profitable tourist site.

Orthodox church with sister nuns monastery, one of the oldest Christian sites communicates mystical sensations. Once secret school for basic Greek education under the Turkish domination.

What a gorgeous church with a very rich history. We went during the rain but it was still well worth the drive. Parking is limited to the side of the road but we just put on the hazard lights and walked up to the church.
