The experience was kind of between good and bad since ordering experience was bad, we ordered the food and we had to ask again for things so they can remember so please make sure they understood your order before they start preparing it since they write it on paper. At the end we enjoyed our time with a big laugh.

A woman-rin business that displays the passion and care for mageirefta, which are the backbone of Greek cooking. This visit we had the slow cooked green beans gently stewed with tomatoes, carrots and oil, the artichokes braised with peas and fennel fronds, the goat gently and slowly over cooked with potatoes that took on so much flavour from the meat and beef, also slow cooked with aubergine. I cannot praise them enough. The service was good, almost over-attentive. Definitely one for multiple visits.

Palia Istoria is one of them with a menu that presents many unexpected choices. My favorite is Goat with lemon patatoes and chili saus shrimps. This is an absolute must do when visiting Methoni!

The atmosphere is simple but great, with a nice outside garden covered by a luxurious Bougainville and a large plane tree (see pic). The staff is friendly and available. And the food is the best part: the beef with aubergines in the oven (see pic) was just perfect, and the other dishes (including the amazing grilled lamb chops) were not less delicious. We will be back!

The portions were huge and the quality was very good. Everything was tasty and well cooked. The staff helped by answering every question we had about the city of Methoni. We will visit it again for sure.
