★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Jeden z najładniejszych bizantyjskich kościołów na Naxos. Ponieważ stosunkowo trudno dostępny to jest otwarty w przeciwieństwie do większości wokół Halki.
Warto sobie zrobić ten spacer.
 One of the prettiest Byzantine churches on Naxos. Because relatively difficult to access it is open unlike most around Halka.
It is worth taking this walk.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Η Συναξη Της Παναγιας Αρχατου Στην Ναξο... Ο μεγάλος βυζαντινός ναός της Παναγίας στη Αρχατό της Νότιας Νάξου δεν φαίνεται να υπήρξε ενοριακός. Είναι ιδιότυπος δίχωρος ναός με τρούλλο σταυρικού βασικά σχήματος (ίσως εκ περιτροπής). Η νότια κεραία του σταυρού καλύπτει εγκαρσίως το κεντρικό μέρος πλαγίου κλίτους, στο οποίο ο χώρος του Βήματος φέρει χαμηλό τρούλλο, δίνοντας την εντύπωση αρχικού ναΐσκου τύπου «μαυσωλείου».
Ο ναός αποκτά εξαιρετική σημασία απ' το πλήθος των τοιχογραφιών του και των επιγραφών του, μεταξύ των οποίων σημαντικότερη η κτητορική επιγραφή:
«Έτους στφϞδ' ίνδ(ικτιώνος) ιδ' μηνί Σεπτ(εμβρίω) α' Δέ(ησι)ς του δούλου του Θ(εο)ύ Μυχα(ή)λ ιερέος του ζωγράφου» πράγμα που σημαίνει ότι ο ναός τοιχογραφήθηκε στα 1285/86 μ.Χ.
Ο Ναός, ανήκει στην Ενορία Φιλωτίου.
The Synagogue of Our Lady of Naxos in Naxos ... The great Byzantine church of Our Lady of Naxos in South Naxos does not seem to have been parochial. It is a peculiar two-storey temple with a cruciform-shaped dome (perhaps rotating). The southern antenna of the cross extends transversely to the central part of the aisle, on which the vault has a low dome, giving the impression of an original "mausoleum" type church.
The temple is of great importance from the multitude of its frescoes and inscriptions, of which the most important is the inscription:
"Year of the Temple (Icon) to the Holy Sepulcher of the slave of the painter Moses (or) the priest of the painter" which means that the church was frescoed in 1285/86 A.D.
The Temple belongs to the Parish of Filotio.
