★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went twice on the front and back ends of a week long tour in Athens. Very casual quick food type atmosphere. But it was super affordable and had really well done standard Greek fare. The saganaki was well drained...other restaurants in Greece served exceptionally oily saganaki, but not here! The pita gyros we're super cheap and stuffed with fresh meat, tomatoes, etc. Very nice! The tyrokafteri had a nice spice to it...well, not really all that spicy, but still was nice and the only spicy dish we found in Greece! A number of other good options, and for the adventurous...Lamb's Head! (Menu said Lamp Head...ha!). 4.5 EUR and it's the real deal. The head was roasted and split in two, revealing tasty cheek, brains, tongue, and eyes. Mmm...not for the faint of heart! We were happy to find such a tasty cheap option near the hotel.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a chicken gyros sandwich and a salad for lunch. The sandwich was very tasty and large enough. The mixed salad however was a little disappointing, because it just came with a lemon and without any dressing or oil and vinegar.
