★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very small winery but produces very good wines. Kiki, the oenologist will explain you the secrets of Cephalonian wine making in the yard of an old house located in a small non-touristic village of the island. Relax and get out of the beaten path.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For those who say that Kefalonian wine is no good. Visit here for a tasting tour and have your mind changed. Gold decanter award winning wines with very knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff. A real treasure of a visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My husband and I ventured to nearby Mellisinos winery from Scala and are so happy we did! Vasili greeted us warmly and gave us a tour of the property while sharing quite a bit about their process and the wine business in Kefalonia.
We had a very intimate tasting on the beautiful grounds and the wine was fantastic! I was surprised they had quite a variety (7 different kinds) and we ended up purchasing two bottles of wine (1 white and 1 red). I would highly recommend finding your way over to this winery for a fantastic experience! Thank you for a memorable day during our vacation.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the highlights of our visit to Kefalonia- we chanced upon it en route to Katelios. The setting is vintage and rural, with lovely vines adorning the entrance and an old original family building in rustic style. A family was having a tasting, so my wife and I wandered the grounds for a few minutes before the chemist Kiki greeted us warmly. She literally gave us complete access to the cellar and machinery, along with educating and informing us all about the processes and decisions of the winery. Having thoroughly enjoyed the tour and extraordinary specialist knowledge, we were then treated to a taste of each of her concoctions- and purchased a bottle of their dessert wine which had wonderful apricot undertones and a warm and not overly sweet finish.
Having spent some time at each of the other wineries on the island, we were richly rewarded by this particular experience. The wine IS quite exclusive in the amount of production each year- so expect a real treat if you can make it down the valley to the winery. A uniquely magical and thoroughly rewarding, exclusive and personal experience: well done!
