It is one of the largest passenger port in Europe. It has a significant presence of sailing ships, yacht club etc. Major container trade is another factor. Piraeus to Athens is roughly 15 - 20 mins by taxi, rate around 15 - 20 euros. People here are very friendly and helpful.
