Minoan Lines S.A. - Thermopilon 6-10

Ferry is fine. Price is good but in terms of health safety because of the pandemic a complete disaster. Half of the people were not wearing a mask for about five hours inside the ferry with hundreds of people...no one cared.

This was our last trip with this company. Last year due to Covid we werent able to travel from Italy to Igoumenitsa, so we decided to keep the tickets for our return only. The cabin was ok, not 100% clean as it should be by the hygiene covid standards. The service crew was friendly and polite. We should leave the cabin 5 hours before our arrival, with a little 2years old child, all our packages, sitting in the restaurant with so much cold - air conditioning was at a very very low temperature, everyone there was covered with blankets and jackets! This year we decided not to travel at all and wanted to have a refund for the unused tickets. As we received an SMS "please contact us per Mail to cancel your tickets and get a fully refund in 14 days", we thought that it would might be so quickly. But of course no, we had an answer to our first mail 2 weeks later, at our second mail 1 week later, and they told us we had to send the tickets per Post to be canceled! Luckily we live in Germany, I cant imagine how difficult it would be for someone who lives outside Europe, to wait so long, to send the tickets and finally maybe to get a refund. So frustrated, so disappointed. We will not travel again with this company ever.

Have traveled plenty of times from Pireus to Heraklion and back with Knossos Palace or Faistos Palace. Both boats are very good and traveling with them has always been a positive experience. 4 stars because Minoan lines booking service via phone is a disaster. The waiting time was more than what I would have needed to go to the port and book the tickets myself. Please try to fix this.

The most filthiest ships I ever saw. Unfortunately I had to stay 26 hours in there. What a nightmare..

The f/b we traveled with was Florencia of Grimaldi Lines. Small and uncomfortable, destined to make a journey unpleasant. No restaurant, just a low quality self-service, open only for a few hours, just one bar lacking in everything but rudeness, limited deck space to walk around, as cars were parked on (under the sun, for a whole day!). The staff was not particularly helpful and the cabins were very basic, with awful plumbing. On the plus side, we left and arrived on schedule

Minoan/ Grimaldi ferries to/from Italy: Cannot be worse. 4 1/2 hours delayed departure from Patras on 15.1 and 6 1/2 hours delayed deparure from Ancona on 22.1 without any excuse. Apparently this is the rule not the exception. Very dirty Grimaldi ships. Avoid them by all means. Last time. From now on only with alternate companies irrespective of cost.

Expensive but great ships, good crew and nice cabins. Great food on-board their ships 39-49€ for a deck ticket to Crete and 60-79€ for a cabin. They are very good in handling passengers with mobility problems.

We are waiting for 6 weeks now to let as know what will happen with a travel that Minoan cancelled. We literally have no idea what whether we will manage to go to Greece and now the tickets for other companies are extremely expensive. Well done Minoan, you showed the ridiculousness face of Greek companies once again
