Wow the best beach at Plakias area! Totally nude, no textiles and kids, very quite also in the middle of August, spacious, clear waters and amazing scenery!

Our favourite Cretian beach amongst those we have found so far. Almost exclusively nude at the South end, but becomes mixed, and then textile as you go further north towards a beach bar and Plakias beach - it's actually all one long beach. It is a wide, fine sandy beach, with level access from the road at the back of the beach. Fairly busy on a weekday in September, but it's a big area, so there is plenty of space for everyone. There are sunbeds available for 6 euros a pair, and showers on the beach. Access to the sea is easy, with very few stones, and slopes gently with a sandy bottom. The bay is somewhat sheltered, calm with very clear water. There are rocks and sea grass at south end, so lots of fish to see. There is an impressive sheer rock face at the south end of the beach. We did go back on a windy day, the sea was much less clear, and the sand does blow around a lot, so you do get sandblasted, and the sand gets everywhere! The beach faces west, so if you stay until the sun sets, you can watch it sinking into the sea.

Nice beach bar at a beautiful sand beach. Good to go for a cup of coffee during the day to flee the sun, or also the evening to have one or more beer or raki. Opening hours from 9am to 11 pm. Good spot to have a great sunset view.

Nice place, not expensive, good music (modern, pop and electronical stuff) and a very friendly crew. Fantastic mountain tea.

Very friendly service and excellent greek coffee with sea view - the best way to start a day
