★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a very nice time in the bay of plakias. As it is on the south side of crete, there are way less tourists here and it seems like a more authentic experience compared to the large beach resorts at the north side.
There is still lots of things to do:
? Perfect beach (2mins walking, sunbeds + umbrella ~5€/day, plenty of bars…)
⛰ small caves and tunnels right next to the hotel
? many good restaurants (check out elia in sellia)
? preveli palm beach / canyon nearby
? rental car recommended to get to chania, rethmno etc.
Yangos and his team really made us feel at home! The hotel is perfectly located at the end of the bay and most rooms have a nice view over the beach. The breakfast is nothing too fancy but still holds everything for a good start of the day and is always accompanied with the noise of the cicadas on the nice terrace. :)
We will come back one day for sure!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing location because it is right on the beach and in a quiet part of Plakias away from the traffic noise and other bars and clubs. This is a family hotel with clean rooms and good food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really a very good and friendly location. The position is gorgeous, very near to the beautiful beach and 5 mn walk to the small but beautiful village. The rooms are spacious, recently refurbished with a new modern bathroom. A terrace can help you enjoy the wordeful view of the landscape.
The restaurant serves excellent local dishes served by a very professional, knowledgeable and friendly waiter.
The breakfast is continental, varied and complete.
Absolutely worth a stay.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good location at the end of the beach, no noise and light, just sea, wind and cicadas :) amazing views and trips from the rocks above the hotel. Rooms adequate and clean, the service and the owners very nice. Delicious food. Internet (WiFi) slow, but enough. The hotel is also suitable for small children, my children enjoyed their stay :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's been years since I've been here. I have a relative who used to frequently go to this hotel for her birthday. The hiking right next to the hotel up next to the cliff overlooking the bay was amazing and a sensation I don't think I will ever forget.
