★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent tavern to stop at for a bite to eat while taking in the stunning panoramic views. The staff are friendly and the menu is varied with delicious local cuisine. Prices are very reasonable so it's a great stop for those traveling on a budget.

Delicious food made from the heart, great wines, stunning views, super patient staff (visited with a kid, a very noisy one), reasonable prices. For those who stay at Plakias and are not afraid of walking up hill, i'd suggest taking one of the streets going up to Mirthios (google maps will help).

Good food, excellent service and clean location.
Our veal steaks were “t-bone” like and were juicy and nicely grilled.
The lamb chops could be way better, they were thin cut which made them over cooked and dry.
Here I probably had the best Greek salad I had in a while.
I would visit again.
The view is great as well!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic place! We stayed in Plakias for 2 days and both nights we had dinner at Plateia, we loved it so much!
The food is absolutely delicious, the view is exceptional and the staff is friendly and welcoming.
There are plenty of spaces to park around and also the venue has very reasonable prices and big portions (so you can share).
This has been so far the best taverna in Crete for me!
