★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Katapola is a fantastic bay surrounded by smooth lovely mountains bottomed by a valley of gardens and trees. Three villages make up a soul of the bay, Xilokeratidi, Rachidi and Katapola port. Don't miss the walk up to the cemetery and Agios Pantelemonas

A few hundred meters to walk from the bus stop to the pier where you can board or disembark the Blue Star ships, and along the way you'll find a beach with clear water, a marina with lots of sailboats and small shops and restaurants lined up all along the marina and pier.
We found a free table and enjoyee local food and hospitality while waiting for our ship to arrive and be ready for board.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Katapola is a fantastic little port with all the usual Greek Jewels of taverns, bakery's churches, hospitable locals. It's a little of the beaten track and quieter as a result. The monastey is a 12 euro taxi ride away, or you can catch the bus or walk and is worth visiting this place for alone. If you found this review useful please like it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The most wonderful seaport I have ever seen, a quiet place that can serve as a basis to discover Amorgos. Picturesque views, nice beaches to swim in walking distance, nice appartments, tasty food and connection to neighboring islands. The place to be!

The town offers all you need for a nice time here : hotels, restaurants, bars, shops, car rental agencies, nautical clubs, there is even a botanical little garden.
