I think this truly is the best hotel in santorini. You get a chance to relax far away from the heards of tourists in oia. The owners are very welcoming and made us feel at home. Additionally what a beautiful setting we had a chance to wake up too. Lastly, I would recommend to stop at the restaurant right beside it. It was delicious and we had a chance to listen to traditional live Greek music.

Positive: It's located in a quite part of the island, which is great if you are looking to relax. 100 m from the sea. Wonderful. Also the person who welcomed us gave us great tips on where to eat and go to see the sunset. Thanks for that!.

Porto Villa lays near one of the most beautiful beach in Santorini (Vlychada beach), in the quiet part of the island, far from tourists crowds. If you are lucky you can get the room with the view for the sea and Vlychada port. We recommend swimming pool in the hotel which unfortunately is accesible only till 9 p.m. At reception works very nice Sofia, who is the only person who speaks english in the hotel. And that would be enough when it comes to good sides of this hotel. Two biggest disadvantages are old mattresses, on which you cannot get good sleep, and most of all bad monotonous breakfasts. Every single day there is the same: cheap ham, cheese, jam, butter, cheap cornflakes, breade, coffe, tea, milk and drink pretending juice. If you want to eat good, visit Dimitris Tavern which is next to the Porto Villa, where you can eat regional food in very good prices. Both rooms and the hotel evidently have the best years behind them. Rooms have the air conditioning, small old and stinky fridge, small tv with few greek channels and radio stations. In addition, it should be noted if the towels are exchanged daily as we had them unchanged for three days (we noticed it due to the stain from tanning oil). Also, table at the balcony wasn't even once cleaned while room service. We do not reccomend renting a car through the hotel. We've managed to rent it 16€ cheaper per day than we were offered at the reception. In our opinion Porto Villa doesn't deserves even one star. It is neglected guesthouse, which supposed to be way much cheaper. Near can be found at least few modern hotels which offers their services in similar prices. Porto Villa was the weakest point of our visit at the beatiful Santorini.

Really nice hotel with good location (beach right next to it), clean rooms. There is a restaurant you can walk to called Dimitri’s Tavern which has a beautiful view on the sunset and is not really expensive about 10€ for a main course! Rooms come with a refrigerator/freezer and a microwave!

The hotel is in a good location - beach is nearby. However, I have to say that the bed and the bathroom is the horror because you only felt springs at the bed and the breakfast is the same every day. Some white bread, cheap ham, some cheese, two different jams and a watery coffee! The bathroom is moldy and if you want lactose free breakfast there are no alternatives but fruits. In the area is nothing except a few restaurants which are not really good. You have to drive 30 minutes to go shopping. Sofia the receptionist is very friendly and accommodating and tries to do the best possible for the guests. Andrea the tour guide does not even lift off if you need something and if you write by SMS, only unwise text messages come back. I would not book the hotel again - the price just does not fit.

Nice place however it is not a hotel. I would rather call it a pension. Let's start with pros. Personel is super nice. Sofie is the heart of this place. Pool is great and there is a nice view from rooms from a Sea side. I booked 7 days here. Every day breakfast was exactly the same. Rooms are clean but tiny. All in all next time I would stay in a different place.

Positive: - Lovely sweet small hotel - Low (under?) priced but with tastefull breakfast (warm bread, eggs, cheese, ham, jelly, cake, cornflakes, milk, coffee, tea, juice) - Wonderfull staff: owner is a nice old man, Sofia from the reception helped me with everything (from scooter till places to go and borrowed me her daughters bag :) and Dimitra is cleaning everything perfect with her mom. We went for a drink together in a beautiful bar (Notos) next to the hotel - Awesome view overlooking the small harbour and with a sunset! - 2 lovely restaurants nearby 1 minute walk) where I picked the best fish! - Rent a scooter/ATV of car and explore the Island like I did for 8 days by my own! (Diving (Caldera Diving!), winetasting (Santo wines), Vlychada beach (close with 2 bars), walk from Oia to Fira (4 hours), go out with a catamaran during sunset, do some yoga, eat, drink :) - If you’re looking for a fancy, luxurious hotel, go to Oia, this is a heartwarming family one..

Abandoned old hotel with tiny rooms. Staff not helpful at all.
